GEOMETRIC AND WAVE OPTICS

: Geometric and wave optics is to introduce the principles of geometric and wave optics and so make use of these principles and their applications in everyday life. This will be achieved by: • Introducing you to the basic principles of geometric and wave optics, • Demonstrating you how these basic principles can be used in our day life situations, • Explaining some phenomena associated with geometric and wave optics, • Stimulating your interest in this area for the betterments, of the world through advancements of technology and, • Giving you some insight into possible future developments in the areas of telecommunications optical lenses, optical instruments, surgery etc.
